Dear digital game researchers in the Low Countries,

Have you ever wondered how playing digital games can help us to train people, deal with societal challenges or raise awareness of contemporary social issues? Join Erasmus University’s Massive Online Open Course (MOOC) on serious gaming. Jeroen Jansz and Mijke Slot and their team discuss why people like to play these games and how the impact of serious games can be measured. Theory is combined with many interesting case studies. Three cases are analyzed in depth by Pjotr van Schothorst (VSTEP), Fons Verhoef (Organiq) and Michaël Bas (&ranj). You can find the trailer here: http://tinyurl.com/zntyjap Participation is for free; you can enrol here: http://tinyurl.com/ztz8kyv

I would also appreciate it if you could spread the news by forwarding this email to people who might be interested. Thx, jj
