[Digra Finland] Tutkijatapaaminen / Spring Convention, 28.4.2007

DIGRA Finlandin tutkijatapaaminen järjestetään tänä vuonna ASSEMBLY  
Winter ?07 ?tapahtuman yhteydessä Tampereen Pirkkahallissa. Tapaaminen  
järjestetään lauantaina 28.4., ja virallinen ohjelma kestää näillä  
näkymin klo 12-16. Tarkemmat käytännön ohjeet saat myöhemmin tältä  
listalta.

DIGRA Finlandia on pyydetty järjestämään kaikille Assemblyn  
osallistujille avoin paneelikeskustelu, joka täyttää ohjelman  
loppusosan. Tutkijatapaaminen kuitenkin aloitetaan lyhyillä  
esityksillä (5-10 minuuttia), joiden tarkoitus on kartoittaa  
suomalaisen pelitutkimuksen nykytilaa. Jotta tämä katsaus tuottaisi  
mahdollisimman monipuolisen kattauksen, pyydämme nyt juuri Sinua  
miettimään, mitä haluaisit tutkijatapaamisessa esittää. Esityksen  
aiheena voi olla niin  tutkimusyksikkö ja opetusohjelma kuin  
tutkimusprojekti tai henkilökohtainen intressi. Esitysten viimeinen  
ehdotuspäivä on perjantai 30.3. ja ehdotuksen tulisi sisältää  
esittäjän nimi, otsikko ja lyhyt abstakti esityksen sisällöstä. Mitä  
nopeammin ilmoittaudut, sen paremman esiintymismahdollisuuden voimme  
tarjota, joten älä suotta epäröi. Ehdotukset voi lähettää Olli  
Sotamaalle osoitteeseen (olli.sotamaa [@] uta.fi).

we are proud to confirm that the DIGRA Finland spring convention will  
be organized in collaboration with ASSEMBLY Winter '07 - Finland's  
largest video & PC gaming festival. The convention takes place in  
Pirkkahalli, Tampere from 12.00 to 16.00 on Saturday, April 28.  
Practical info (how to get there etc.) will be delivered once we get  
the final program sorted out.

The latter part of the day will witness a Digra Finland organized  
panel discussion that will be open to all Assembly attendees. However,  
the first part of the meeting consists of short presentations (5-10  
minutes) and is organized to produce a general view of the  
contemporary state of game research in Finland. In order to attain a  
widest possible spectrum of presentations we now announce a call for  
presentations. If you feel that you want to present a games-related  
research unit, curriculum, research project or personal research  
interest at the meeting, please let us know as soon as possible. As  
mentioned, we wish to produce a diverse review on the Finnish game  
research scene and therefore
welcome all presentations with open arms. The deadline for  
presentations (name topic, short abstract) is Friday, March 30.  
However, the first to sign in will get the best slot on the program so  
don't hesitate too long! Send your presentation proposals to Olli  
Sotamaa (olli.sotamaa [at] uta.fi).
